Install Technician

Job overview

The Install Technician role is onsite, with an office location in Westwood, MA and typical service areas in Boston, Western Massachusetts, Rhode Island, and New Hampshire. The technician installs, configures, programs, diagnoses, and repairs integrated security systems. The role also provides customer service, completes service reports, and leads and trains apprentice-level technicians to support reliable security and surveillance systems.

What you'll do

• Install and service access control, video surveillance, and intrusion systems
• install readers, electric locking hardware, exit devices, power supplies, pipe, and wire
• configure IP networks and system software
• respond to service calls, scheduled maintenance, and emergency/after-hours calls
• troubleshoot and repair systems
• complete service reports
• use hand and power tools and work at heights when needed
• lead and train apprentice technicians
• maintain system certifications.

Why this role
