The engineer leads quality activities on the shop floor to ensure parts and systems meet specifications. The role supports inspection, problem solving, quality-system compliance, supplier quality, and continuous improvement across manufacturing.
What you'll do
- Perform receiving, in-process, and final inspections
- interpret drawings and GD&T
- program and operate the CMM
- lead AS9102 first-article inspections and AIAG PPAP submissions
- investigate defects using 8D and other methods
- support the MRB process, audits, corrective actions, supplier corrective actions, calibration, MSA, and Gage R&R
- analyze quality metrics to reduce scrap and rework.
