What you'll do

• Function as first assistant during surgical procedures
• assist with incision, excision, exposure, tissue handling, vessel clamping, bleeding control, drains, and wound closure
• perform circulating and scrub duties as needed
• maintain aseptic technique and sterile field
• assist with positioning, preparation, draping, and transfers
• conduct instrument, sponge, and sharps counts
• document care and interventions
• collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
• mentor and support perioperative staff.
