What you'll do

• Verify benefit coverage and patient financial responsibility
• identify copays, deductibles, and coinsurance
• document patient interactions and coverage information in the EMR
• coordinate and process prior authorization and predetermination requests
• review supporting documentation
• track and follow up on pending authorizations
• document authorization details and expiration dates
• communicate denials and follow-up needs
• safeguard patient and company confidentiality under HIPAA.
