The Purchasing Agent role is onsite in Cary, IL. Compensation is $60,000–$80,000 per year. Coilcraft is a privately held global manufacturer of magnetic components serving telecommunications, computing, automotive, broadband communications, and consumer electronics markets. The agent develops and manages a reliable supplier base, coordinating with Engineering, Manufacturing, and Operations to secure materials that meet quality, cost, availability, and delivery needs. The role also supports supplier improvement and procurement activities that contribute to manufacturing performance.

What you'll do

• Identify, evaluate, select, and develop suppliers
• maintain supplier relationships
• support supplier qualification, analysis, reporting, and corrective actions
• identify opportunities to improve material value, quality, processing, and cost
• initiate supply agreements and procurement activities
• investigate supplier issues and coordinate corrective actions
• work with Engineering and Operations on material specifications
• involve suppliers in product development and modifications
• visit suppliers as needed
• administer purchasing systems and maintain supplier information
• support supply-chain improvement.

Why this role
