What you'll do

• Schedule surgical procedures and coordinate case details with physicians, anesthesia providers, operating room staff, and ancillary departments. Verify patient and insurance information
• conduct pre-admission assessments
• review test results and clearances
• coordinate additional consultations
• educate patients on pre-operative instructions
• complete documentation in the electronic health record
• maintain confidentiality
• and participate in quality improvement. May perform circulator RN, Scrub RN, Sterile Processing, Preop, or PACU RN duties when staffing needs arise.
