This role involves supporting and leading surveying efforts for water resources and land development projects, playing a key role in project oversight, technical review, and staff mentoring.

What you'll do

• Conduct and oversee land surveys, including boundary, topographic, and construction surveys
• Review and analyze survey data to ensure accuracy and completeness
• Prepare detailed survey reports, maps, and drawings
• Operate and maintain survey equipment, including total stations, GPS, and data collectors
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and clients to understand project requirements and deliverables
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations and standards
• Provide training and mentorship to junior surveyors and survey crew members
• Conduct quality control checks and ensure adherence to safety protocols on-site
• Travel to various project sites, which may involve exposure to varying weather and terrain conditions

What we're looking for

Education

Bachelor's degree in Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field

Experience

8+ years of progressive surveying experience, with demonstrated responsibility on municipal and land development projects
