Home Health Aide

Job overview

The Home Health Aide role is onsite in patients’ homes in the Barnstable, MA area. Compensation is $20–$23 per hour. Cape Senior Home Healthcare provides one-on-one home care to patients. The aide supports patients with daily activities and personal care, maintains a clean and healthy home environment, and records and reports observations to a supervisor. The role also engages patients in conversation and activities and may include medication and immunization assistance as described in the posting.

What you'll do

• Assist patients with moving between beds, baths, wheelchairs, and automobiles
• change bed linens, do laundry, clean the home, and assist with personal care
• maintain records of care, condition, progress, and problems
• report observations to a supervisor
• converse with or read aloud to patients
• give medications and immunizations as stated in the posting
• engage patients in exercises or other activities.
