The Electrical Engineer — Power role is hybrid, based in Hopkins, MN, with travel to domestic and international sites and client-site travel of up to 10%–25%. The expected base salary is $85,000–$135,000 per year, depending on qualifications, plus a discretionary bonus and employee stock program. The role supports power-system projects for industrial facilities, commercial projects, and generation, transmission, and distribution infrastructure. Working under a senior engineer, the engineer designs, analyzes, implements, commissions, and supports protection and control systems. The work includes power studies, drawings, relay settings and testing, equipment programming, project documentation, and coordination with customers and project teams.
What you'll do
- Design and apply power protection and distribution systems
- develop diagrams and control-panel designs
- perform power-system studies and calculations
- develop relay settings and programs
- support relay testing and commissioning
- design low- and medium-voltage systems
- prepare project documentation
- use AutoCAD and other design tools
- travel to client sites as required.
