Solar Service Technician

Job overview

The Solar Service Technician role is onsite in Reno, NV, with compensation of $28–$32 per hour based on experience and abilities. The technician joins Sol-Up’s Operations team, supporting the company’s solar energy systems and service work. The role maintains, troubleshoots, and repairs solar panels and systems at rooftop, ground-mounted, and other installations. It contributes to safe, efficient, code-compliant system performance through customer communication, accurate service records, and adherence to quality and safety standards.

What you'll do

• Maintain solar panels and systems
• troubleshoot and diagnose issues
• repair or replace faulty components
• perform work safely and in compliance with industry standards and local codes
• update customers on work progress
• record work performed and parts used
• maintain work sites, trucks, tools, and equipment
• attend directed training
• report accidents, injuries, and unsafe conditions.
