The Medical Assistant role is onsite at the Mesa and Phoenix, AZ, locations, with travel between offices as needed. Compensation is $18–$23 per hour. The position supports specialty providers and patients at Aligned Spine & Sports Physicians, primarily in neurosurgery. The Medical Assistant helps providers deliver coordinated patient care by preparing patients, documenting clinical information, assisting with examinations and procedures, and coordinating surgical and insurance-related processes. The role also helps patients understand treatment plans and supports an organized, positive clinical experience.

What you'll do

• Room and prepare patients
• obtain and document histories, vital signs, and clinical information
• assist providers with examinations and in-office procedures
• coordinate surgical scheduling and patient preparation
• submit, track, and follow up on prior authorizations
• document in eClinicalWorks
• coordinate with providers, surgery centers, imaging facilities, and referral sources
• educate patients on treatment plans, procedures, and appointments
• maintain exam rooms, equipment, and supplies
• travel between Phoenix and Mesa offices as needed.

Why this role

Current Medical Assistant certification and eClinicalWorks experience required. Neurosurgery is the primary focus; bilingual English and Spanish and experience in neurosurgery, orthopedics, pain management, PM&R, or other surgical specialties are preferred.
