The System Administrator 3 role is onsite in Annapolis Junction, MD. Pay is $160,000–$190,000 per year. The administrator implements, maintains, and optimizes enterprise IT systems, with a focus on advanced troubleshooting and high-performance computing infrastructure. The work sustains system performance and availability through Linux administration, networking, storage support, automation, and monitoring.

What you'll do

• Implement, troubleshoot, and maintain IT systems
• perform advanced Tier 2 diagnosis and resolution
• monitor, maintain, and optimize system operations
• configure and troubleshoot Linux systems
• support HPC infrastructure and high-speed networking
• administer Lustre and DDN Exascaler storage
• support TCP/IP networking and storage fabrics
• use Salt and Ansible automation
• maintain monitoring and alerting with Nagios, Prometheus, and Grafana
• lead complex troubleshooting and provide technical guidance.

Why this role

Requires at least 10 years of similar system-administration experience, DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification or equivalent, U.S. citizenship, an active security clearance with appropriate polygraph, and successful background investigation and polygraph.
