Acute Physical Therapist

Acute Physical Therapist is an onsite position in Florence, SC. Compensation is not specified. This role supports the Medical University Hospital Authority (MUHA). Evaluates, administers and directs administration of therapeutic procedures utilized in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, as prescribed by a referring practitioner, and establishes goals of physical therapy.

What you'll do

• Evaluates and treats patients recovering from injury, disease, surgery, or other ailments.
• Establishes treatment plans and treats patients using a variety of methods, including exercises, stretching maneuvers, hands-on therapy, and equipment to ease patients' pain and help them recover.
• Works cooperatively with physicians, case managers, and insurance adjusters.
• Documents and reports on patients' progress.
• May supervise physical therapy assistants, aides, and athletic trainers.
• Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited school.
• New graduates acceptable.
• South Carolina Board Certified / Eligible.
• BLS required.
