Certified Medical Coder

Job overview

The Certified Medical Coder role is onsite in West Seneca, NY; compensation is $27–$37 per hour, with a full-time Monday–Friday first-shift schedule. Grider Support Services’ Revenue Cycle Management department supports accurate coding and reimbursement for physician services. The coder works with medical office staff and records to support accurate billing, claim resubmission, and denial resolution. The role also helps maintain billing workflows and payer eligibility processes while providing customer service and supporting compliance.

What you'll do

• Research and work with medical office staff to capture billing activities
• access EMR or data warehouse systems as needed
• contact patients or provider offices to obtain current insurance information and explain policy terms
• respond to revenue cycle staff and vendors regarding claim resubmission and denial resolution
• assist with billing protocols and workflows
• use payer websites and integrated eligibility tools
• apply ICD-10-CM and CPT-4 coding conventions to medical records.
