Utility Locator (Field Technician)

The Utility Locator (Field Technician) role is onsite in Richmond, VA. Compensation is $21 per hour. Stake Center Locating’s work focuses on damage prevention by locating underground utilities and marking their positions in the community. The role exists to identify underground utilities accurately so work can be planned with damage prevention in mind. Technicians use maps, blueprints, and locating equipment, while documenting tickets and communicating with peers, managers, and homeowners.

What you'll do

• Use a laptop to receive, document, and process tickets and email
• read maps and interpret blueprints to determine locating methods and sequence
• use provided equipment and technology to locate underground utilities
• communicate with peers, managers, and homeowners
• follow safety practices.
