What you'll do

• Assist clinicians and reinforce medical recommendations
• take medical and social histories and vital signs
• provide information about birth control and sexually transmitted diseases
• explain laboratory and diagnostic procedures and assist with tests
• dispense supplies, administer medications, and answer telephone inquiries
• maintain patient records
• arrange referrals and follow-up
• participate in quality assurance
• follow privacy and HIPAA requirements
• provide nonjudgmental education and counseling on reproductive and sexual health issues.
