Head Start Center Assistant

The Head Start Center Assistant role is onsite in Plainwell, MI, and pays $14–$15 per hour. The position supports the organization’s Head Start and early education services. What you'll do

• Ride the bus to and from centers and assist children boarding or exiting when needed
• ensure appropriate child safety restraints
• engage children with songs, stories, and conversation
• assist with monthly emergency evacuation drills and bus inspections
• prepare and serve meals and snacks
• follow sanitation procedures
• assist teachers with classroom activities
• maintain confidentiality
• attend staff meetings
• complete required documentation.
