The Consultant - Distribution Planning Engineer integrates distributed energy resources (DER) and distributed generation (DG) into utility distribution systems. This role exists to perform interconnection and planning studies, including hosting capacity and power flow analysis. The engineer collaborates across disciplines to identify system constraints and mitigation strategies, supporting grid modernization efforts and advancing the integration of solar, storage, and EV technologies.

What you'll do

• Perform DER/DG interconnection and distribution planning studies.
• Evaluate impacts of solar, storage, and EVs on the distribution system.
• Develop and maintain distribution system models using CYME or Synergi.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to support integrated planning.
