Job overview

The Estimator works onsite in Harmony, PA. Compensation is not specified. PURIS provides trenchless renewal solutions for water, wastewater, and stormwater infrastructure, with an emphasis on sustainable resource management and reducing community disruption. The role develops accurate, timely proposals and estimates for public- and private-sector projects so PURIS can submit responsive bids. It evaluates project costs and construction approaches, coordinates input from field operations and stakeholders, and supports preconstruction planning and estimating-team development.

What you'll do

• Analyze labor, materials, equipment, location, and other cost factors
• review drawings, specifications, site conditions, and take-off quantities
• evaluate alternative construction methods
• use cost history and calculations to develop estimates
• present estimates in bid reviews
• communicate with owners, subcontractors, and public and private entities
• share bid information with field operations
• maintain regional business relationships
• supervise, direct, and mentor estimating staff
• participate in or lead design-build preconstruction services and means-and-method discussions.
