Youth Shelter Life Coach

The Youth Shelter Life Coach role is onsite in Medford, OR, with stated pay of $17–$20 per hour. The schedule is Thursday–Sunday, 2:00 p.m.–midnight, and may change based on agency needs. Hearts With A Mission serves homeless and at-risk youth ages 10–17 through shelter, educational support, mentoring, and transition planning. The Life Coach supervises and mentors youth in an emergency shelter, supports life-skills development and positive behavior, and helps maintain a safe and supportive environment. The role also assists with intake, crisis intervention, transportation, records, meals, and coordination with families and service agencies.

What you'll do

• Supervise youth and shelter activities
• complete emergency shelter intake
• provide support and advocacy
• provide phone crisis intervention and non-physical crisis intervention as needed
• teach life skills
• maintain confidential records and reports
• coordinate with families, agencies, and staff
• assist with activities and transport youth
• maintain shelter licensing requirements.
