Radiation Therapist

What you'll do

• Review and administer prescribed daily radiation therapy treatments
• prepare rooms, equipment, supplies, and setup devices
• set treatment-unit parameters and deliver prescribed radiation doses
• maintain communication with patients during treatment
• obtain prescribed port films and adjust field placement as needed
• monitor and report unusual reactions
• maintain immobilization devices and equipment knowledge
• record charges, machine downtime, and fault reports
• assist with service-call scheduling
• ensure accurate medical records and proper handoffs
• follow safety, ethical, regulatory, and HIPAA requirements.
