The specialist investigates claim payment issues and applies payer contracts and fee schedules to determine expected reimbursement. Resolving discrepancies and maintaining payer information supports revenue-cycle operations across the surgery centers.

What you'll do

• Research denied, underpaid, and incorrectly reimbursed claims
• determine expected reimbursement using payer contracts and fee schedules
• identify causes of payment discrepancies and pursue resolution
• communicate with insurance carriers and use payer/provider portals
• review payer contracts
• assist with payer enrollment, credentialing, and recredentialing
• maintain contracts and fee schedules across ASCs
• support billing-system updates and managed-care contracting
• use Excel for tracking and analysis.
