Desktop Technician

The Desktop Technician role is onsite in Gallup, NM. Salary is $40,000–$43,000 per year. The technician supports the Department of the Interior/Indian Affairs user base with end-user computing and IT operations. The role resolves Tier II/III technical issues across desktops, laptops, mobile devices, peripherals, and network connectivity. It also installs and maintains hardware and software, supports standard and specialized applications, documents incidents and changes, and collaborates with IT teams on escalated issues.

What you'll do

• Provide advanced Tier II/III desktop and end-user support
• troubleshoot desktops, laptops, mobile devices, peripherals, and network connectivity
• support Microsoft operating systems, Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and specialized applications such as GIS or AutoCAD
• install, configure, and maintain hardware and software
• document incidents, resolutions, and system changes in a ticketing system
• collaborate with IT teams on escalated issues.
