The School Psychologist role is onsite at Happiness House’s Canandaigua, NY site. The stated salary range is $33,000–$42,600 per year. This is a part-time, school-year position of 22.5 hours per week, Monday–Friday during business hours, with flexible hours based on program needs; evening work may be required. The role supports the preschool program and children with developmental disabilities and their families. The psychologist collaborates with teachers, clinicians, families, and program leaders to assess behavior, develop and implement behavior intervention plans, and support educational and developmental needs. Consultation, training, and oversight help staff apply consistent behavioral programming across classrooms and agency programs.

What you'll do

  • Build rapport with preschool staff
  • apply ABA concepts and practices in school settings
  • maintain confidentiality
  • provide consultation, in-service training, and staff training
  • conduct functional behavior assessments and develop and implement behavior intervention plans
  • meet with classroom staff about students, behavior documentation, and IEP goals
  • observe classrooms
  • design and oversee behavior programs
  • consult with parents
  • attend CPSE and Human Rights Committee meetings as needed
  • supervise interns and volunteers when appropriate.
