What you'll do

• Read water meters
• install, clean, operate, maintain, and repair water systems and meters
• monitor pressures and telemetering equipment
• respond to customer complaints and turn water service on or off as needed
• complete work orders
• inspect for leaks and breaks
• maintain fire hydrants, pressure-reducing valves, and booster pump stations
• assist with sampling and testing
• operate equipment including backhoes, loaders, and excavators
• respond to 24-hour emergency calls and follow the on-call rotation
• participate in snow removal.
