Detox and Residential Medical Technician

Job overview

The Detox and Residential Medical Technician role is onsite in Los Angeles, CA. The stated pay is $24–$27 per hour. The position supports the Encino Detox Center’s substance use disorder detox and residential treatment services. The role leads the IMS office and supports client health, wellness, safety, care coordination, and accurate records. It works with administrators, program and medical directors, nursing, and other team members to support individualized treatment and recovery-focused care.

What you'll do

• Lead the IMS office and coordinate client health and wellness
• assist clients and support care coordination
• provide emotional, psychological, and recovery-centered support
• observe self-administration of prescribed medications and document in the EMR
• monitor health status, side effects, and adverse reactions
• collaborate on individualized treatment plans
• educate clients about medications
• maintain accurate charts and follow infection-control, medication-storage, and controlled-substance procedures.

Why this role

Medication Technician or similar certification and current CPR/First Aid certification are required. Familiarity with KIPU EHR is essential; BLS certification or Certified Medical Assistant is desired.
