Grinder Operator — Day and Night Shifts

The Grinder Operator — Day and Night Shifts role is onsite in Aurora, IL. Compensation is $18 per hour for day shifts and $18 per hour plus a $2 night-shift differential for night shifts. The role supports Tangent Technologies’ sustainability efforts by processing plastic scrap into reusable materials. The operator prepares and feeds scrap into grinding equipment, monitors material flow and quality, and maintains a safe, clean work area to help reduce waste and promote reuse.

What you'll do

• Operate grinding machinery
• lift and feed boxes of plastic scrap and maintain material flow
• operate the control box and adjust process settings
• perform routine equipment maintenance and clean the work area
• prepare and bag ground material
• sort materials by color
• monitor conveyor belts and remove contaminants or obstructions
• saw-cut larger scrap as needed
• log operating times, downtime, and issues.
