Junior CNC Programmer / CAM Technician

The Junior CNC Programmer / CAM Technician role is onsite in Carencro, LA, with a stated pay range of $26–$30 per hour. Coastal Machine & Supply is an AS9100-certified precision contract manufacturer producing complex parts for defense, space, and oil and gas programs. This development role prepares accurate manufacturing models and supports the programming group, building toward independent programming as capability grows. The work helps ensure machining toolpaths start from correct models and supports production of complex, tight-tolerance parts.

What you'll do

• Prepare manufacturing models for machining with attention to stock, tolerances, and cutting approach
• build CAM tools under programmer direction
• support model revisions, stock setup, and fixture geometry
• spend scheduled time on the production floor
• develop programs for simpler and repeat parts under review
• use ProShop and follow pre-processing procedures.
