Accounting Manager

The Accounting Manager role is onsite in Silver Spring, MD. Compensation is $80,000–$85,000 per year. The position supports Manna Food Center’s finance function and reports to the Director of Finance. This hands-on role keeps accounting activity accurate, timely, supported, and ready for monthly close and reporting. It coordinates core accounting workflows, reconciliations, grant-related records, and staff review so the Director of Finance can rely on complete financial information and sound internal controls.

What you'll do

• Coordinate and perform monthly close activities
• prepare, review, and post supported journal entries
• maintain the general ledger and investigate discrepancies
• prepare or review bank, cash, and balance-sheet reconciliations and recurring schedules
• oversee AP and review AR, grant billing, cash receipts, and payroll entries
• support grant compliance, audits, and financial reporting
• guide finance staff and improve accounting procedures.
