The Laboratory Phlebotomist role is onsite in Springfield, VT. Pay is $20–$23 per hour. The position supports Springfield Hospital’s laboratory testing and patient-care operations as part of a close-knit, mission-driven team. The role exists to collect and process specimens accurately so laboratory testing can produce reliable patient results. It contributes through patient identification, specimen integrity, registration and billing accuracy, and effective communication with patients and colleagues.

What you'll do

• Confirm patient identity
• collect specimens using venipuncture or capillary techniques and appropriate tubes
• label specimens accurately
• accession and process specimens
• answer broad technical questions or direct people to appropriate resources
• complete billing and registration procedures accurately
• communicate and work cooperatively with others.
