Lead Caregiver — Home Care Aide

The Lead Caregiver — Home Care Aide role is based in Saint Petersburg, FL, with compensation of $16–$19 per hour. The caregiver provides services in clients’ homes and travels to multiple client locations within the service area for Home Helpers Home Care of Westchase. The lead caregiver provides personal care and companionship while supporting continuity of care, mentoring caregivers, and assisting with urgent staffing needs. The role requires flexible availability for weekdays, evenings, weekends, holidays, and other shifts as needed, and includes on-call situations and emergency shift coverage.

What you'll do

• Provide personal care and companionship in clients’ homes
• assist with open shifts and urgent assignments
• help develop and update individualized care plans
• conduct client visits to assess needs and service quality
• mentor, orient, and train caregivers
• respond to on-call situations and emergency coverage needs
• communicate client changes and scheduling needs to office staff
• maintain timely care notes
• travel among client locations.
