The Cook role is onsite in Houston, TX. Pay is $16.50 per hour, and weekends and holidays are required. The Shores at Clear Lake is a senior living community focused on enriching residents’ lives through compassionate care and support. The cook prepares wholesome, nutritious, attractive food at appropriate temperatures for residents. Consistent food preparation, safe storage, sanitation, and kitchen upkeep support the community’s dining service and resident experience.

What you'll do

• Prepare and serve food using quality ingredients and appropriate garnishes
• follow recipes and portion sizes
• monitor and record food and equipment temperatures
• label and store food properly
• control waste
• maintain kitchen sanitation and safety
• clean equipment and work areas
• check supply inventory
• and report equipment or safety issues to the Food Service Director.
