The Human Resources Manager, Employee Relations role is onsite in Ann Arbor, MI; compensation is $65,000–$75,000 per year. The Shelter Association of Washtenaw County provides emergency shelter and services to people experiencing homelessness, with a mission of ending homelessness one person at a time. The manager directs employee relations and HR administration, including labor relations, benefits, recruitment, compliance, and risk management. The role supports the organization’s workforce and programs by maintaining effective employee relations, sound HR practices, and compliance with employment requirements.

What you'll do

• Develop HR goals, objectives, and systems with the Executive Director
• support labor-management relations and collective bargaining compliance
• advise leadership on talent needs, recruiting, retention, and succession planning
• oversee recruitment, selection, onboarding, policies, and performance reviews
• maintain employment-law compliance
• administer benefits and leave programs
• investigate employee concerns
• maintain HRIS records and reports
• supervise the Human Resources Coordinator.
