The Specimen Collector position is part-time and onsite in Owensboro, KY. Compensation is stated at $18–$21 per hour. The collector obtains and processes patient specimens and serves as a link between clinics and the laboratory. Accurate records, customer service, and reliable specimen handling support the laboratory’s testing services.

What you'll do

• Collect urine and/or oral-fluid specimens
• process and package collections for shipping
• serve as an intermediary between clinics and the laboratory
• record patient, physician-order, and laboratory information
• resolve specimen concerns involving billing or patient information
• maintain collection supplies
• observe collections when applicable
• driving between facilities may be required.
