Cyber Detection Engineering Lead

The Cyber Detection Engineering Lead is an onsite position based in McLean, VA. Compensation is not specified for this role, which supports the Cyber Engineering team at MANTECH in enhancing cybersecurity detection and response capabilities. This role exists to lead the mission of developing high-fidelity detection logic, automating security workflows, and strengthening threat-hunting operations. The lead oversees project and task workflows while improving the organization’s ability to identify, analyze, and respond to evolving cyber threats.

What you'll do

• Develop, optimize, and deploy custom detection rules across SIEM platforms, build and tune security analytics pipelines, design SOAR playbooks, automate threat intelligence ingestion, and collaborate with Incident Response teams.
