Accounts Payable Specialist

The Accounts Payable Specialist role is onsite in Houston, TX, with compensation of $20–$22 per hour. The position supports the Finance team and works with Supply Chain to manage vendor payments and related processes. The specialist coordinates accounts payable and cash outflows, supports reconciliations and monthly close, and responds to payment inquiries. Accurate processing and reporting help the Finance and Supply Chain teams support business operations.

What you'll do

• Coordinate payments for inventory purchases, operating expenses, and travel reimbursements
• support payment terms and prepayments with Supply Chain
• track cash outflow timing against forecasted balances
• match invoices to purchase orders
• prepare payments and process check runs, wire transfers, and ACH transactions
• assist with travel and expense reporting
• maintain 1099 forms and vendor documentation
• respond to expense and payment inquiries
• support monthly close, accruals, reconciliations, and audits.

Why this role

Requires an associate degree with an accounting concentration, 2–3 years of related experience, or an equivalent combination. Experience with ERP systems, electronic invoice tools, and Excel is sought. The role requires onsite work and may require extra hours.
