The Associate Manufacturing Scientist I role is an onsite position in Madison, WI. Compensation is $60,000–$70,000 per year. The role supports Arrowhead Pharmaceuticals’ manufacturing group, contributing to the company’s development of RNA interference-based medicines for diseases with a genetic basis. The scientist assists with large-scale oligonucleotide synthesis and purification while following GLP/GMP protocols, batch records, SOPs, and work instructions. The role contributes to compliant manufacturing operations through equipment operation, documentation, analysis, material tracking, cross-functional communication, and support for training and production campaigns.

What you'll do

• Follow batch records, SOPs, and work instructions
• document operations in batch records and logbooks
• comply with GMP protocols
• operate large-scale oligonucleotide manufacturing and purification equipment
• prepare reagent and mobile-phase solutions
• pack columns and collect fractions
• perform oligonucleotide/intermediate analysis via LCMS
• communicate with cross-functional groups
• maintain a clean and safe workspace
• track raw material usage
• act as production campaign lead
• assist with new personnel training.

Why this role
