Job overview

The Local Driver role is onsite in Middleton, MA, and pays $21.00–$24.00 per hour. Veolia provides water, waste, and energy management services, including hazardous waste collection and disposal. The driver safely transports hazardous and non-hazardous materials from customer sites to designated locations. The role inspects vehicles, loads, packaging, manifests, and permits; follows transportation and environmental regulations; communicates with customers about shipment issues; and assists with loading and unloading.

What you'll do

• Inspect vehicles and trailers before driving
• review shipment records, manifests, labels, placards, and load integrity
• maintain required transportation paperwork and permits
• consult customers about load conditions and documentation
• report moving violations and accidents
• assist with loading and unloading
• maintain housekeeping as required.
