ICT Discipline Leader

Job overview

Compensation is $160,000–$210,000 per year. The ICT Discipline Leader role is hybrid, based in San Diego, CA, with remote work and regular in-office engagement; travel to other HED offices and project sites is part of the role. The leader provides strategic, administrative, and technical leadership for ICT staff across the firm. The role advances discipline standards, staff development, project quality, and coordination across sectors and regions.

What you'll do

• Identify ICT hiring needs and oversee recruitment, onboarding, and integration
• coordinate staffing and resource forecasts
• conduct check-ins and performance reviews
• mentor staff
• develop and monitor ICT standards for QA/QC, BIM, specifications, and deliverables
• lead training and knowledge sharing
• approve timesheets, expenses, and PTO
• manage licensure coverage and professional development budgets
• provide technical project leadership and quality oversight
• serve as DPOR on selected projects when appropriate.

Why this role

RCDD certification is required; a professional degree in electrical engineering, technology, telecommunications, or a related field is preferred or equivalent experience. PE licensure is valued but not required. The role requires travel to offices and project sites.
