Master Control Operator

Job overview

The Master Control Operator role is onsite in Fargo, ND. Pay is $15–$18 per hour. The operator supports WDAY, which broadcasts local news, weather, and sports across North Dakota, western Minnesota, and eastern South Dakota.

What you'll do

• Operate broadcast playback, satellite-receiving, and media-storage systems
• set up satellite dishes and receivers
• record and prepare programming
• switch live content on air
• monitor broadcast signals and satellite feeds
• schedule programs and breaks according to the program log
• adjust video, lighting, audio, and broadcast equipment
• troubleshoot malfunctions
• ensure transmissions meet government regulations.
