Emergency Vehicle Operator – EVO

Job overview

The Emergency Vehicle Operator (EVO) role is onsite in Hagerstown, MD. The posting states pay of $18–$20 per hour. The EVO supports the Butler Medical Transport/Best Care Ambulance EMS team and assists an EMT partner during nonemergency medical transports. The operator transports patients safely and assists with stretcher movement and loading while helping provide timely, considerate pre-hospital transport. Vehicle readiness, safe driving, equipment care, and compliance with applicable policies and regulations support patient care and the EMS team.

What you'll do

• Transport ill and injured people to medical care facilities
• operate emergency vehicles safely under varying conditions
• assist the EMT partner with moving patients and loading stretchers
• ensure vehicles and equipment are ready for transport
• clean and maintain equipment
• comply with company policies and applicable state and federal rules.
