Security Analyst, Tier 2

The Security Analyst, Tier 2 role is onsite in Leonardtown, MD. Compensation is not specified. CyberLinx Solutions is seeking an analyst to monitor and respond to cybersecurity threats across its enterprise environment. As a second-level escalation point, the analyst investigates incidents, tracks vulnerabilities and remediation, and works with Tier 1 analysts, IT teams, and management to resolve security issues and improve security operations.

What you'll do

• Monitor alerts and events using SIEM, IDS/IPS, and other tools
• investigate and respond to incidents
• escalate to Tier 3 or management when needed
• perform vulnerability assessments and risk analysis
• track remediation
• review logs and alerts from firewalls, endpoints, email security, and cloud platforms
• support endpoint protection, patching, and malware analysis
• document incidents and recommendations
• collaborate with IT, network, and compliance teams
• assist with security awareness and training.
