Electrical Engineer III

Job overview

The Electrical Engineer III role is onsite in Scottsdale, AZ, with additional listed locations across the United States; compensation is $90,000–$110,000 per year. RTM Engineering Consultants provides multidisciplinary engineering services and client support through construction. The engineer develops electrical designs and construction documents, coordinates project communication and schedules, and supports projects from design through construction completion. The role also contributes to quality control and mentors junior engineers and designers.

What you'll do

• Manage project timelines and design communications with clients
• assist with proposals and engineering agreements
• produce electrical design elements, permitting documents, and project specifications
• research design options
• execute QA/QC
• coordinate with internal and external parties
• consult on schedules, deadlines, site surveys, punch lists, codes, and standards
• participate in post-design consultation and client meetings through construction completion
• onboard and oversee junior engineers and mentor junior engineers and designers
• provide timely project billing.

Why this role

Requires a four-year engineering degree, 3–5 years of experience, building-code and engineering standards knowledge, construction-process understanding, and AutoCAD and Revit knowledge. EIT and/or PE is preferred. Travel is anticipated at 0–10%. Salary is an estimated starting range.
