What you'll do

• When the RN has scrubbing experience, assist with draping, prepare instruments and supplies, support the surgeon, and maintain the sterile field
• make additional supplies available
• record vital signs and administer medications as ordered during local sedation cases
• count sponges and needles
• assist with patient transfer to PACU
• prepare supplies for cases
• assist with room cleaning
• conduct and document postoperative calls
• restock supplies
• perform instrument processing and nursing functions in other clinical areas.
