Facilities Maintenance Technician / Ranch Maintenance

The Facilities Maintenance Technician / Ranch Maintenance role is an onsite, full-time position in Winter Haven, Florida. Compensation is $19–$22 per hour. The technician supports operations at Natural Encounters, Inc.’s ranch facility and helps maintain infrastructure used for animal care and training. The role exists to keep buildings, habitats, equipment, and property in working order so daily ranch and animal-training operations can continue. It contributes through hands-on repairs, preventative maintenance, construction support, and property upkeep.

What you'll do

• Perform building maintenance and repairs
• assist with construction, carpentry, and structural improvements to enclosures and facilities
• maintain fencing, gates, habitats, and infrastructure
• conduct preventative maintenance on tools, equipment, and ranch systems
• troubleshoot mechanical and facility issues
• operate tractors, lifts, chainsaws, mowers, and power tools
• maintain irrigation systems and assist with plumbing repairs when needed
• organize tools
• identify and address safety hazards
• mow, trim, and landscape when needed.
