Machine Operator, Second Shift

The Machine Operator role is full-time and onsite at the company’s Norridge, IL location. The schedule is Monday–Friday, 3:15 p.m.–11:45 p.m. Compensation is $17 per hour. NSI Industries’ Norridge location manufactures die castings for electrical and network infrastructure markets. The operator supports die-casting production by running assigned machines, checking part quality, handling materials, and completing production records. The role also helps maintain equipment and work areas and reports quality, process, or machine issues to support safe, consistent production.

What you'll do

• Perform quality checks and report part, process, or machine issues
• segregate materials and identify defects using gauges, calipers, and micrometers
• verify measuring-equipment calibration dates
• mix or dilute lubricants
• perform zinc changes and refill ingots as needed
• separate parts from runners
• operate scales and assigned machines
• complete daily operator preventive maintenance
• clean machines and work areas
• move and label production materials
• complete routing sheets
• wear required PPE.
