What you'll do

• Provide dental care by diagnosing and treating diseases, injuries, and malformations of teeth and gums
• educate patients on oral health
• examine patients and document findings
• develop and carry out treatment plans
• treat cavities and other dental conditions
• perform extractions or root canal work as appropriate
• make impressions for dentures
• prescribe or provide treatment
• refer patients for specialty care
• maintain dental records and equipment stocks.
