Dietary Director

The role oversees meal preparation and kitchen operations to help protect residents’ safety and dignity and meet their dietary needs. Responsibilities include following menus and nutrition guidelines, maintaining food safety and kitchen cleanliness, managing food orders and emergency inventory, and training and scheduling kitchen staff.

What you'll do

• Cook meals according to menus and nutrition guidelines
• cook and hold food at proper temperatures
• maintain kitchen cleanliness and sanitation
• monitor and record food, refrigerator, and freezer temperatures
• accommodate resident requests when possible
• answer phones as needed
• complete weekly food ordering and maintain emergency inventory under AHCA regulations
• manage kitchen staff through training, scheduling, and disciplinary actions. Must complete and remain current with training requirements under ALF regulations with AHCA.
