What you'll do

• position guides and fixtures
• set machine stops and change dies
• start and monitor machines
• operate or tend machines that cut, shear, slit, punch, crimp, notch, bend, or straighten metal or plastic
• perform changeovers and material setup
• inspect work areas and finished pieces
• measure workpieces
• identify, tag, and wrap material for shipping
• collaborate with departments.
