Medical Assistant

Job overview

The Medical Assistant role is onsite in Buffalo, NY. Compensation is $20 per hour. The position supports the clinical team and patient visits at VKP Medical PLLC. The assistant prepares charts and treatment rooms, rooms patients and records vital signs, and supports nurses and doctors with basic care and procedures. The role also helps track lab results, coordinate appointments and follow-ups, manage documentation, and communicate with patients about treatment plans.

What you'll do

• Prepare charts, notes, rooms, and equipment
• clean instruments and equipment
• answer phones and identify visit needs
• assist nurses and doctors with basic care and procedures
• track lab results and call in prescriptions
• room patients and record vital signs
• assist providers during procedures and injections
• coordinate appointments, follow-ups, referrals, prior authorizations, and insurance
• maintain clinical areas and support front-office workflow.
